UCLG organizes more than 10 events during the 2021 United Nations High Level Political Forum
The Local and Regional Government Forum on the 2030 Agenda is jointly organised by UNDESA, the Global Taskforce of Local and Regional Governments (GTF), UN-Habitat, UNDP and Local 2030. UNDP and Local 2030.
The fourth Local and Regional Government Forum (LRGF), a special event of the UN High Level Political Forum (HLPF), will illustrate the importance of local action towards achieving the SDGs in the 2021 review and how partnerships between spheres of government and stakeholders are crucial in this regard.
The fourth Local and Regional Government Forum will bring together local, regional and national governments to discuss how decentralised cooperation between local and regional governments and their partnerships and networks, local and regional governments and their and regional governments and their associations and networks, national authorities and the international community can contribute to the achievement of the SDGs.
In this framework, during the Local and Regional Governments Forum, the Joint Statement to the 2021 High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development was presented.
